Part-Time JustLead Afterschool AmeriCorps Positions (23/24 School Year)

There are 3 kinds of AmeriCorps positions available with Emerald Youth during the school year:

• Children's Role - Implement enriching, structured elementary (ES) school level afterschool activities.
• Youth/Children's Role - Implement enriching, structured middle school (MS) level afterschool activities with some elementary school (ES) level responsibilities.
• Learning Role (LAC) - Facilitate planned elementary (ES) and middle school (MS) academic activities as well as other afterschool activities. Perfect for aspiring teachers. 

Details applicable to all positions:

• Start (ideally) in August 2023 and serve until May 2023. 
• Serve 13 (MS) or 20 (ES/LAC) hours, M - F, in the afternoons.
• Receive a living allowance $6,300 (MS) or $9,450 (ES/LAC) less taxes while you serve (like pay). Living allowance installments are direct deposited into members’ personal banking account twice a month (to be used however needed) during your term. **Please note that this is the only money you receive while serving. There are no other wages or salaries given to AmeriCorps members while they are an active member. 
• Obtain a $1,824 (MS) or $2,626 (LAC) less taxes for school or student loans (called an Education Award as mentioned above) after you successfully complete a term of service. 
• Participate in training and team building. 

AmeriCorps Development Days/Socials (ACDDs) - highly encouraged:

• AmeriCorps members will meet approx. 2 times each semester for development opportunities.
