I'm William B Burkhart MD, owner and founder of Beacon Primary Care, board-certified in family medicine and licensed to heal! Beacon Primary Care is a direct primary care practice, which means I do not accept payment from third party payers such as Medicare or commercial insurance companies. Instead, patients pay a monthly membership fee in return for all-inclusive primary care services which includes health maintenance visits, chronic disease management, same or next day sick visits, home calls, and 24/7 access via text or phone call in emergency situations. The membership fee is all inclusive of my time, and we take whatever time is needed to restore and maintain health and wellness. Membership in my practice confers savings to my patients with respect to both time and money, since time IS money. Medical supplies and labs are provided to patients at wholesale cost without mark-up, at times saving as much as 95%. Practicing medicine outside the confines and red-tape of the corporate healthcare racket affords me the time and energy to restore the legacy doctor-patient relationship as the focus of healthcare. That relationship is built on trust, open communication, pricing transparency, and mutual respect for values. Joining my practice is like having a doctor in the family!
