The Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce (FWKCC) is excited to host its 23rd Annual Farragut Fall 5K & Fun Walk on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017! This annual event helps fund the Chamber’s Continuing Education Scholarships and 15% of registrations will be donated to the Smoky Mountain Service Dogs (SMSD) to aid in their mission to provide canine mobility assistance to qualified veterans at no cost to the veteran.
The USATF sanctioned 5K race and 1-mile fun walk and pet parade will begin at Watt Road and Kingston Pike in Farragut, TN. Runners traverse a scenic traffic-free road course through Sedgefield subdivision; walkers continue into Mayor Bob Leonard Park. Both groups finish in the park at separate finish lines. Four-legged friends are welcome and will enjoy bandanas, tennis balls and treats! All pets MUST be leashed; dogs not allowed on the 5K course due to insurance requirements. Running strollers welcome!
NEW THIS YEAR: Walkers who bring their dog will have the chance to participate in our first ever PACK WALK led by a Certified Canine Trainer & Behaviorist who is a graduate of the Cesar Milan (“Dog Whisperer”) training program!
