With their rapid technology development, UAVs (un-manned aerial vehicles, also known as drones) are becoming more and more relevant for facility managers. They often offer an easier, safer, faster, and more cost-effective solution than more traditional practices. Inspections are one area where drones are making a big impact, especially with thermal imaging. This presentation will quickly review many of the regulations and flight concerns, as well as considerations for hiring a pilot and for piloting a drone yourself.
