Event Description:
One of the best ways to protect your identity is to shred documents that include any confidential information such as: account numbers, social security numbers, account balances, bank statements, cancelled checks, credit card receipts, tax and insurance records.
Anyone is eligible to particate in shred day on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
at Y-12 Federal Credit Union, 9425 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922.
- Each vehicle is limited to FOUR boxes (up to 12x10x15") or FOUR tall kitchen trash bags (13-gallon or smaller
- Shredding is offered on a first come, first serve basis. When the shred truck is filled to capacity, shredding will no longer be available. Trucks may leave early when filled to capacity.
Items accepted:
• Clean, dry paper - such as credit union statements, credit card receipts, tax records, financial statements, etc.
Items not accepted:
• Cardboard
• 3 ring binders
• Phone books
• Hard copy books
• Common or wet trash
• Plastics or metals
• Glass
• Grocery bags or plastic
• Hazardous materials such as batteries, cell phones or compact discs
*Dates are subject to change dependent on weather or other conditions. Trucks may leave early when filled to capacity. The credit union reserves the right to reject any shred materials at their discretion.
