Colby McLemore was recently re-elected to the board of directors of the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association (TNPPA) during their 2019 fall convention in middle Tennessee. TNPPA is the state-level affiliate of the largest non-profit national trade organization for photographers, the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Both organizations support photographers in increasing the quality of their craft as well as promoting professionalism throughout the industry.

TNPPA’s 2019-2020 president Dana Barrett personally asked McLemore to come back. “Colby’s enthusiasm and welcoming attitude are refreshing,” Dana says. “His reputation in the industry and work ethic will undoubtedly help push the organization to the next level, and I’m glad to have him aboard!”

McLemore is very active not only at the state level but also at the national and local levels as well.  He is on the National Council of PPA representing Tennessee to make sure the state’s needs are vocalized and known at the national level, where he is serving his second three-year term. He is a member at large on the board of the local professional photographers’ organization Professional Photographers of East Tennessee.

McLemore looks forward to helping to promote and support Tennessee’s professional photographers. He finds that when the community comes together it is helpful for everyone. Being on the board allows him to share his knowledge and expertise as well as meet and learn from some of the best photographers throughout the state.
