New K9 Center Open in West Knoxville
K9 Center of East Tennessee is “EVERYTHING DOG” under one very big roof. The 18,000+ square foot facility now houses an indoor/outdoor dog daycare, a self-serve dog wash, and a dog-friendly coffee shop. There is a groom room, private lesson training rooms, and space for specialty services such as massage, chiropractic, and holistic care. A portion of the indoor arena is matted for obedience and rally classes.
Dog Daycare is open Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dogs can be divided into four groups by personality and play style. Staff interacts with the dogs all day long so by the end of the day, they are “dog-tired.” Co-owner, Trish Isbell, says “The dogs practically drag their people across the parking lot to return to Dog Daycare!” Lots of options are available for daycare dogs including walking, pack walking, training, and more.
Dog owners love the Self-Serve Dog Wash. Co-Owner, Susie Stout, says “We provide everything but the dog— shampoo, rinse, aprons, towels, step-up bath tubs and a drying room. It makes it so easy to bathe a dog!” Hours for dog wash are 12-6 Monday-Saturday. Sunday hours after January 1. The “Paws and Refresh” coffee lounge is open the same hours for socializing with your 4-legged and two-legged friends!
Early 2018 plans include a 9000 sq ft matted arena for dog sports including agility, all kinds of training, workshops, and seminars. The FitPAWS gym will also be matted. In the spring, a heated pool for dock diving, conditioning, and swimming lessons will be installed.
