Event Description:

Earn RECOGNITION for your business and community service hours for your school-age student when you join the Chamber in our 2019 Adopt-A-Stream Cleanup!

The chamber has "custody" of a section of Little Turkey Creek in Farragut which runs adjacent to the Wentworth subdivision and goes all the way up to Kingston Pike near Old Stage Road. This beautiful section of waterway needs to be cleaned annually. In Spring 2018, Chamber staff and volunteers removed over 130 lbs of total trash! 

PLEASE provide your SHOE SIZE in the Registration COMMENTS to be fitted for waders. Limited quantities exist for sizes; Americorps will do their best to fit everyone as closely as possible (waders have "wiggle" room). 

Remember to dress DOWN and plan to leave any electronics/valuables in your car. The Chamber is not responsible for items dropped/lost or that get WET due to volunteers bringing them along.

We will meet in the parking lot in front Anytime Fitness (12572 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934) in Farragut at 12 NOON!

Our Americorps guide will provide waders, gloves, bags, grabbers and instructions. The stream cleanup is estimated to take 2-3 hours from start to finish.

(East Tennessee should allow for weather and water temps to still be PLENTY warm for wading at this time of year!)
