Name: Member hosted The Purple Paddle Pickleball Tournament benefiting Alzheimer's Association TN Chapter
Date: June 20, 2026 - June 21, 2026
Event Description:

The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting The Purple Paddle, a brand-new pickleball tournament fundraiser designed to bring the East Tennessee community together through movement, connection, and purpose in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. The event will take place at the Pavilion of Pickleball on Saturday and Sunday, June 20–21, 2026.

This tournament is intentionally scheduled alongside Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month (June), with championship play on June 21—the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. This symbolic timing reflects our commitment to “outshine the darkness” of Alzheimer’s and raise awareness for a disease that impacts thousands of local families.

The purpose of this event is twofold: to create a fun, engaging community experience that promotes healthy activity and social connection, and to raise critical funds that support the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission. Donations directly fund local care and support services for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s, as well as research efforts aimed at advancing treatment and ultimately finding a cure.
