Since we can't get together for "Wines and Cheeses and Chocolates, Oh My!" this year, you're invited to participate in our "Wine Pull & Go!" Simply purchase your ticket, pull up, grab a bottle...and go! It's that easy to support the Pilot Club of Lenoir City's many local brain-health and special needs related initiatives and other community causes.
This creative, socially-distanced, no-contact fundraiser is being hosted by The Venue at Lenoir City, 7690 Creekwood Park Blvd,, Lenoir City. There will be two pull flights on Thursday, October 8th: The First from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.; and the second from 5:30 - 7;30 p.m. The value of donated bottled of wine range from about $10 to over $50. What you leave with is all in the luck of the draw!
“It’s important that we have a great crowd for this fundraiser, because the work we do and the projects we support are so important to the community,” said Brittany Mashburn, club president. The club is focused on local brain-related injuries and diseases and support of special needs students and residents. “We support Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s organizations, Special Olympics, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Project Lifesaver, local special education classrooms, and other causes,” she said.
The club also partners with the City of Lenoir City for its Festival of Friends, an annual event offering outdoor recreational opportunities to individuals with disabilities and their families. In addition, members visit every kindergarten classroom in the city and county schools annually with its namesake’s BrainMinders program, to teach youth how to start protecting their brains at a young age.
