Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley Invites Community to Help Create Its Next T-Shirt

The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley (HSTV) is inviting artists, animal lovers, students, and creative community members of all ages to help design the organization’s next official T-shirt.

HSTV has launched a community-wide T-shirt design contest, giving participants the opportunity to submit an original design that represents their love for animals and support for the shelter's lifesaving mission. Designs may be funny, heartfelt, creative, bold, or anything in between, as long as they are family-friendly.

Submissions will be accepted through September 6, 2026. Community voting will begin on HSTV's Facebook page on September 9, where supporters can vote for their favorite design by liking the corresponding submission. The design receiving the most votes will be named the winner.

The winning design will be transformed into HSTV's newest official T-shirt and revealed during the organization's Mask-Fur-Ade Gala on October 23, 2026, at Bridgewater Place.

As a community-supported nonprofit, the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley relies primarily on the generosity of individuals, businesses, foundations, and other supporters to continue its work providing care and second chances to animals in need. HSTV does not receive any ongoing funding from the city, county, or state government or national organizations such as Humane World.

“We are excited to invite the community to be part of creating something that represents HSTV and the animals (and their owners!), that we serve,” said KaDee Andreasen, Development Director for the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley. “There are so many talented and creative people in our community, and we can't wait to see the ideas they come up with.”

The contest is open to participants of all ages. Those interested in submitting a design can do so by September 6 using the online submission form:
