Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: This role will primarily focus on managing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes across multiple entities. The Senior Accountant will also play a key role in the annual budgeting process as well as assisting with preparation for annual audits, collaborating closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice coding and processing, vendor payments, and customer billing.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, receivable and payable ledgers, as well as general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data, review budgets, and support decision-making processes.
- Assist in preparation for annual audits, providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues within financial reports and transactions promptly.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and legislation that may impact the organization.
- Continually seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency within the department.
- Ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and other assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dedicated Christian with clear knowledge of the Gospel and a passion for the mission of Emerald Youth Foundation; connected to a church community; possesses a strong reputation for honesty, integrity, and high moral standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
- Proven experience (3+ years) in accounting roles, including payroll, AR, AP, and GL.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
